The Department of Homeland Security’s Office for Interoperability and Compatibility (OIC) is conducting a computer-aided dispatch (CAD) case study in Silicon Valley, Calif., a region that is piloting a FATPOT Technologies’ Virtual Data Fusion interoperability solution designed to connect CAD systems. The case study is part of the Computer-Aided Dispatch Interoperability Project (CADIP), which is studying the potential approaches to linking CAD systems in Santa Clara County, Calif., Portland, Ore., Phoenix, Ariz., and the National Capital Region.
