The National Security Agency has selected Fortress Technologies to participate in a demonstration of the agency’s Maritime Domain Awareness Coalition Suite B Enabled Network (MCSBEN), an encrypted wireless network that interoperates with pre-existing wireless systems. MCSBEN will use Fortress’s wireless bridges and security controllers to create an encryption tunnel over an existing 802.11 communication link to meet FIPS 140-2 validated security standards for the transmission of secure voice, video and data, the company said.
