From KXTL TV: The Modesto (Calif.) Police Department is testing wearable cameras and recording devices that are about the size of a cell phone.
The department is testing the Vie Vu, the Vid Mic and Taser Axon equipment. The Vie Vu opens and turns on with a touch of a button. The Vid Mic is a camera installed in a traditional two-way radio handset. The Taser Axon holds 30 hours of video with a 12-hour battery life. The computer part of the device about the size of a Blackberry, and the camera is the size of a wireless headset.
The Modesto Police Department has $125,000 to spend on the new system. They plan to make a decision within a couple of months. Read the entire article here.
