NextNav: Dan Hight talks GeoComm partnership, Z-axis location for 911

Dan Hight, NextNav’s vice president of business development and partnership, discusses the significance of the company’s new partnership with GeoComm, which plans to integrate the vertical-location (Z-axis) information into its Public Safety Location Intelligence platform when callers dial 911 from inside a building when seeking help during an emergency. This 911 Z-axis solution from NextNav leverages the same barometric-sensor-based technology that was introduced last year to provide Z-axis location for FirstNet public-safety users.
