Motorola Solutions today announced the LEX 700, the first mission-critical handheld device designed to meet the needs of public-safety users operating in multiple broadband environments, including the private first-responder LTE networks being constructed on 700 MHz Band 14 spectrum.
Developed by Bohemian Innovations, the Extraction Zones Pro app puts vehicle information at the hands of first responders. Upon arriving at the scene of a vehicular accident, emergency responders can click on this app and select the make and model of the damaged vehicles from an extensive databank in the pop-up list.
Dubbed Iridium Force, the plan calls for more-accessible and cost-effective Iridium technology so that its partners can develop a wider range of Iridium-based products and services. As a result, Iridium will be licensing both its core technologies and its satellite connectivity.
