ZK Celltest unveils network monitor
ZK Celltest Inc. has introduced the ZK-SAM a wireless system call monitor and display that permits Cell Techs and Network Supervisors to safely and conveniently log and view their wireless call parameters on a vehicular mounted heads up screen display.
Viewers can watch RSSI, Band, Channel numbers, Hopping sequence, FER/BER, Handoffs, Interference, Actives and Candidates, plus more all in real time on this small display with large, easy to read characters. Dead spots, dropped and blocked calls, and areas with bad audio quality can be identified and logged automatically on the ZK-SAM’s Compact Flash card. System Performance Engineers can then analyze it with MapInfo right down to the decoding of the Layer 3 messages
Starting at $7,995, the ZK-SAM is designed for safety, simplicity and ruggedness. The display mounts directly on the dashboard of the vehicle and does not interfere with the operation of airbags or compromise the safety of the occupants. Designed for vehicular environment, the ZK-SAM is not affected by shock or vibration. It has no moving parts and operates from -20C to +60C. Easy to see, the transflective display is not diminished by direct sunlight and operates flawlessly at temperatures as high as 160F.
With no laptop or cables to connect, the ZK-SAM runs by itself and boots up in seconds each time the ignition is turned on. Its Autodial feature provides for programmable calling of test numbers for either continuous or timed call durations on selected wireless air technologies.
Interfacing with a variety of industry standard phones, the ZK-SAM is available for displaying calls on EAMPS, CDMA, TDMA, GSM, 1xRTT, GPRS/EDGE and combinations of these technologies. It is capable of supporting up to three handsets which allows the simultaneous logging and viewing of multiple frequency bands and technologies
