E.F. Johnson was awarded a contract by the city of Eden Prairie, MN for the upgrade of its municipal radio system. The company will expand the 800MHz Multi-Net system from six to seven channels with Johnson 2008 repeaters and a Series 3000 network switch. Work is scheduled for completion later this year.
The contract has an estimated value of $410,000.
“We’re pleased to be awarded this contract,” Michael E. Jalbert, Transcrypt chairman and chief executive officer, said. “Our upgrade will extend the capabilities of Eden Prairie’s original E.F. Johnson system, which has served the community well for a decade. In that sense, the contract confirms the benefits of the city’s original investment with our company.”
