Battery monitor uses single-cell voltage
The Intelligent Monitoring System from GNB Industrial Power is a stand-alone system that continuously assesses a battery’s ability to provide power to critical applications. The IMS actively notifies the user when the battery requires service or replacement, and it predicts the remaining standby time of a battery during a discharge. As a result, it allows the user to intelligently dispatch field generators and shed unnecessary battery loads to critical sites before power is lost. The system uses single-cell voltage and impedance testing in conjunction with string current analysis to quickly pinpoint a problem.
