New York to issue RFP for $400 million radio system
The New York State Office for Technology has set June 3 as the release date for its Request for Proposal for a statewide radio communications network
The New York State Office for Technology has set June 3 as the release date for its Request for Proposal for a statewide radio communications network estimated to be worth $400 million.
The network that the state wants is described as an “integrated public safety, public service land mobile radio communications network for use by state, federal and local governmental entities that operate within the state’s borders. This digital network will use trunking technology to provide a spectrum-efficient, statewide mobile radio communications network that will allow interoperability between all participants and interface with other legacy systems as necessary.”
On June 3, individuals who register with the state will be able to download the RFP.
