Kenwood Communications said to exceed sales projections for first half
Kenwood Communications, Suwanee, Ga., a division of Kenwood USA, Long Beach, Calif., has exceeded its own growth projections for sales of two-way radios and systems for the six months ended Sept. 30 (the first half of its fiscal year), a statement released yesterday by the company said.
“This result was seen in all sectors of Kenwood’s core markets, including public safety, government, business/industrial, and trunking,” the statement reads. Kenwood also reported the first-half growth pattern “tracked consistently with each month and quarter.” But the statement didn’t say what the sales projections had been or what level of sales had been achieved, and the company’s spokesperson did not return calls.
“We are extremely pleased with these results, especially considering the unpredictable economy. And we are especially pleased with the performance of Kenwood’s dealer network, who initiated strong sales programs in their local markets that were in step with the current economic condition. We hope the consistencies on the demand side is a precursor for a strengthening economy,” said Mark Jasin, the division’s national sales manager, in a prepared statement.
Kenwood Communications manufactures mobile and portable radios, and custom systems for conventional and trunked operations in government and private industry.
