Public-safety agencies helping to secure the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, will use a two-way radio communications system provided by Motorola, Siemens and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), Motorola announced. The consortium is expected to supply command, control, communications, computer and intelligence equipment for the international athletic festival. The communications system will be based on the Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) standard used in Europe.
