A study conducted by United Kingdom-based IMS Research indicated that 37% of overall press-to-talk users preferred to be billed monthly for service, while 36.3% wanted per-use or per-message billing. Far less popular were per-minute (preferred by 17.3% of respondents) and per-packet (9.5%) billing options. However, the results skewed when regions and user groups were considered, according to IMS analyst John Devlin.
