Speedcom seeks customers away from the track
LAS VEGAS–Speedcom Communications, a communications developer with roots in endurance motor racing, this week is exhibiting its two-way radio system with dual-mode push-to-talk capability.
Speedcom owner Toto Lassally said the unique push-to-talk feature was created to allow a crew chief to engage in direct two-way radio contact with a driver and push another button on a headset to speak to the crew. While created for racing, the dual-mode push-to-talk feature would be ideal for enterprise applications such as helping middle managers work with multiple talk groups in loud industrial environments and for public-safety communications leaders at large incidents, he said.
“If it can work in a racing environment, it can work anywhere,” Lassally said.
