LAS VEGAS–Sti-Co Industries this week is featuring an antenna system that can be used to interconnect various radio signals operating in spectrum between 150 MHz and 1550 MHz, achieving interoperability with one antenna what would have required three or more antennas previously.
“One of our customers in New York said it used to take him an hour to spread out antennas on top of his command vehicles,” said Sti-Co spokesman Kevin Koch, who noted it takes less than 10 minutes to deploy Sti-Co’s interoperable solution. “And, as you know, in terms of time, every moment is critical.”
Separately, Sti-Co announced Flexi-whip, a new antenna that bends but does not break, which is designed to save public-safety entities the cost of replacing antennas.
