Software giant Microsoft yesterday announced the establishment of a new Microsoft Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Council that will consider ways to take advantage of the emerging technology to make it easier for companies to maintain real-time visibility of their supply chains.
Microsoft’s council will meet for the first time this month and already has several RFID partners, including Accenture, GlobeRanger, HighJump Software, Intermec Technologies, Manhattan Associates and Provia Software.
