BPO Solutions announces beta for MiniMesh-PRO
British mesh-networking developer BPO Solutions this week confirmed plans to conduct a public-sector beta test of MiniMesh-PRO, the company’s multi-hop mesh software designed for Microsoft Windows-enabled devices.
MiniMesh-PRO utilizes BPO Solutions’ Meshhopper mesh-routing protocols and is designed to give Microsoft Windows user groups much greater Wi-Fi range, according to the company. Because it is a software solution, MiniMesh-PRO allows users to create ad hoc communications groups with “little or no infrastructure throughout an office building, a campus, a hospital or business unit, representing a major step forward,” according to a prepared statement from CEO Andy Coney.
Beta testing is scheduled to be completed by the end of May, and BPO Solutions hopes to make a limited product release available at the end of the second quarter.
