Ritron this week announced RadioNexus, a base-station transceiver that is designed to let two-way radio users access an IP network.
An RJ-45 connector and a Type 3 E&M analog interface allows the transceiver to be connected to the IP network via a router or a voice-over-IP gateway. RadioNexus, which is available in VHF and UHF frequency models, lets any kind LMR radio talk with other networked devices, including radios operating in different bands.
Features include PC programmability, a 2-watt transmitter CTCSS or DCS signaling, compact size and wideband or narrowband operation, according to the company.
