Motorola Canopy radios receive encryption certification

Motorola announced that the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm used in its Canopy wireless broadband radios has been certified by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to meet government Federal Information Processing Standard-197 (FIPS-197) for ensuring secure data communication. The Canopy radio with AES capability is the second Motorola product and the 150th product in the world that earned FIPS-197 certification, the company said. Read the full news release/
