Midian Electronics has introduced the TRE-2, a tone remote encoding module. The TRE-2 encodes F1 and F2 function tones and, by adding a 12-button keypad, the unit can also encode F3-F10 function tones. The TRE-2 also can upgrade a DC remote to a tone remote or can upgrade a tone remote with F1 or F2 capability to also offer F3-F10.
