Kenwood relocates systems group

Kenwood USA’s Communications Sector announced that its Systems operation would relocate to the company’s expanded headquarters in Suwanee, Ga., which also houses the company’s Engineering, Research & Development and Sales and Marketing operations. The integration of the four operations would result in “integrated development of enhanced products and shorter lead times for custom system design and assembly,” the company said in a statement. Kenwood predicted the relocation would be completed by September 2004. Also, Kenwood said it would change the designation of its core operating units from “divisions” to “sectors” as part of a worldwide marketing strategy.
