Boost Mobile expands P2T service in Canada, South America
In partnership with NII Holdings and Canada’s TELUS Mobility, youth market-focused MVNO Boost Mobile this week announced expansion of its push-to-talk service in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Peru.
Boost Mobile’s push-to-talk service costs customers $1.50 per day for unlimited domestic use. An international surcharge of 20 cents per minute will be added for push-to-talk communications from the U.S. and other countries served under the plan. An international roaming surcharge of 10 cents per minute will apply to push-to-talk usage from Baja, Mexico, and a surcharge of 20 cents per minute will apply to push-to-talk communications from Canada to another country.
“Boost Mobile is the only wireless service provider to offer push-to-talk technology available as an international pay-as-you-go service, making it the easiest and fastest way for young people to instantly contact friends and family across borders at the touch of a button,” Don Girskis, vice president and general manager, Boost Mobile, said in a prepared statement.
Boost Mobile customers can seamlessly send and receive push-to-talk calls with most Nextel, TELUS Mobility and NII Holdings customers.
