T-Mobile’s German wireless arm is giving consumers an opportunity to test its push-to-talk (P2T) service for free during the next three months to generate demand for the new service.
T-Mobile, a division of Deutsche Telekom, said the P2T service will be free until April 30, after which customers will pay 1 euro ($1.32 USD) per day for the service, up to a maximum cost of 18 euros ($23.84 USD) per month. Initially, T-Mobile will offer the P2T service to consumers using either of two Nokia phones, the 6170 or the 5140 models.
