University lab demos RFID applications
The University of Wisconsin-Madison will inaugurate its RFID Lab on Friday, August 12, 2005, with demonstrations of emerging radio frequency identification (RFID) applications in various industries and a luncheon address by Patrick Sweeney, CEO of ODIN Technologies and author of "RFID for Dummies"
The University of Wisconsin-Madison will inaugurate its RFID Lab on Friday, August 12, 2005, with demonstrations of emerging radio frequency identification (RFID) applications in various industries and a luncheon address by Patrick Sweeney, CEO of ODIN Technologies and author of “RFID for Dummies.” The event, which is open to the public, begins with the luncheon at 11:00 a.m.
The lab consists of three stations: an RFID-enabled portal/dock-door test bed, a high-speed conveyor system test bed, and an antenna design and performance analysis station with an anechoic chamber. It is a subunit of the UW E-Business Consortium.
