Motorola announced that it has landed a $6.9 million contract to deploy a Project 25-compliant trunked radio system at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall airport.
The system will be the first P25 system deployed in the state of Maryland, the company said. It will let Maryland Aviation Administration personnel — including rescue, police and fire — communicate with each other as well as with airport security, operations and maintenance workers. When complete, the system will serve about 700 users, Motorola said.
