Cogent Systems signed a multimillion-dollar deal with the Oakland County, Mich., sheriff’s office and the county’s courts and law-enforcement management information system for its automated fingerprint identification system. The system includes a mobile identification hand-held device, which lets law enforcement remotely transmit fingerprint searches from the field to a command center and then receive real-time identification data, according to Cogent.
