Telemedicus has entered into an agreement with Texas A&M University—through the university’s Academy for Advanced Telecommunications and Learning Technologies—to further develop the company’s Disaster Relief and Emergency Services platform. The mobile medical-communication technology is installed in emergency vehicles and uses video to let doctors remotely see the patient, and provides a live feed of all vital signs. Under the new agreement, the design and development of the platform will be performed by Texas A&M, the original developers of the technology, in partnership with the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and the Texas A&M University System.
