Tampa, Fla.-based Fortress Technologies has demonstrated a secure, wireless backbone as part of a deployable Radio Frequency Identification, or RFID, kit during a Marine Expeditionary Force exercise in Gladstone Port, Australia. The exercise simulated real-life scenarios in order to test the kit in an operational environment using a secure transportable backbone and wireless access for mobile RFID readers. The kits contained the company’s ES520 Secure Wireless Access Bridges, Secure Client Bridges, client software and antennas, as well as RFID readers and portable tripods from Savi Technology.
