Nighthawk Systems, a provider of wireless and IP-based control devices and solutions, announced it has received an order for 1000 of its CEO700 remote-disconnect units from Avista Corp., a NYSE-listed utility that provides natural-gas service to about 633,000 customers within a service territory covering more than 30,000 square miles. The CEO700 gives electric utilities the ability to remotely connect and disconnect power to residential electric meters, according to the company.
