AirPatrol Corp. launched its Rapid Deployment Sensor (RDS), a wireless intrusion-detection system designed for temporary wireless-security deployments, wireless vulnerability assessments and white-hat penetration tests. It is used with the company’s Wireless Locator System (WLS) for managing 802.11 WLAN and cellular service security. It is a standard WLS sensor, a wireless mesh backhaul and a rechargeable battery packaged in a weatherproof case, the company said.
