An FCC meeting and an agency forum on emergency interoperability this week were postponed today because of snow conditions in the Washington, D.C., area.
Tomorrow’s scheduled forum addressing the idea of an emergency response interoperability center (ERIC) being proposed for public-safety communications was postponed and has not yet been rescheduled, FCC spokesman Robert Kenny said.
“We hope to have [a rescheduled time for the ERIC forum], but we don’t have anything yet,” Kenny said.
In addition to the ERIC forum, the FCC today also postponed the commission’s regular meeting, which originally was scheduled for Thursday. Instead, commissioners will meet next Thursday at 3p.m. EST.
