Alcatel-Lucent rolls out LTE connected car
Alcatel-Lucent is participating in the Experience Canada pavilion at the International Media Center for the G-8 and G-20 summits, June 23–25. The company will exhibit the LTE Connected Car concept, which is based on a 2010 Toyota Prius. It is a platform for first-of-its-kind in-vehicle services and functionality including on-demand entertainment, infotainment, diagnostics, navigation and other mobile services made possible with 4G/Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks.
The LTE Connected Car runs and operates like a standard car but with high-speed interconnectivity. Each passenger can create a own personalized multimedia experience via four independently controlled embedded touchscreens, with the ability to stream endless amounts of content from the “cloud” (TV, video, audio, data) all at the touch of a button.
