Cop cars get camera upgrade in Chicago suburb
The Bollingbrook Police Department is purchasing seven new wireless cameras, which will be installed in cars that don’t currently have cameras.
From the Chicago Tribune: Bolingbrook (Ill.) Police Department vehicles soon will be equipped with new digital cameras that will capture video and audio of incidents police respond to.
The department is purchasing seven new wireless cameras, which will be installed in cars that don’t currently have cameras. But as some of the current cameras become obsolete, the department’s entire fleet will get the upgrade.
Bolingbrook trustees Tuesday night approved the purchase of seven cameras for $40,020 from the village’s DUI camera fund. Read the full article here.
