A former FEMA official explains why broadband is a good thing for the fire service.
From Fire Chief magazine: Some in the fire service believe that the $7 billion that has been authorized for the buildout of a nationwide broadband communications network for first responders would be better spend on new apparatus and bunker gear for firefighters, among other things.
