It takes a village…
By Stephanie McCall, IWCE Show Director
We are knee deep in planning for IWCE 2016, and—as part of the planning—every year members of the IWCE team meet in our Penton Chicago offices with members of the IWCE Advisory Board, which consists of a balanced mixture of exhibitors and attendees.
Advisory-board members give guidance and input into IWCE’s annual conference and exhibition, providing both the attendee and the exhibitor perspectives. We depend on the advisory board to give us direct feedback and input on content, industry trends, manufacturing breakthroughs and overall change across enterprise and critical-communications technology.
During this day-long meeting, we share specific stats and information about the IWCE event that happened in March. Advisory-board members are encouraged to ask questions, voice their opinions and give suggestions for the next IWCE. For many years, we’ve counted on this team of members to give us direct (and sometimes hard to hear) feedback, suggesting how to improve the event and sharing their overall vision on what they would like IWCE to be. We take their feedback very seriously and internally as a team, and we work hard to implement as much of their input as much as possible.
We like to think of IWCE as a community, and the annual week-long event is the physical village. The village is still working hard throughout the year to make each annual IWCE event the best place to set up each year in the spring that brings the community together.
We are looking forward to our meeting in July with our IWCE Advisory Board, and we thank each and every one of them for taking the time out of their busy schedules to share their ideas and perspectives. You can check out the members of the IWCE Advisory Board by clicking here.
