It’s hard to believe that IWCE 2016 starts on Monday! We have been hard at work pulling all the last-minute details together to bring you the best show possible. As you sit down to plan your time for the show, here are a few things to keep in mind:
Exhibit Hall: New for 2016 is the Priority Lounge (included in the Super Pass), where you can stay connected using the complimentary Wi-Fi, charging stations and a concierge. IWCE’s Job Training and Education Center is back, located in the front of the 100 aisle, and is for those looking to discuss job training, continuing education and career planning. The Product Showcase is located at the entrance to the hall and features some of the newest equipment available. Looking to charge your phone or laptop? Hop on over to the charging lounge located at the front of the exhibit hall, next to the App Center.
Networking: Speed Networking sessions will be held on Monday and Tuesday, offering an opportunity for attendees to quickly connect one-on-one with each other ($99 each session). Enjoy some networking time off the show floor and join us for IWCE’s Party in the Park, which will be conducted from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday outside the entrance to the North Hall. Take a load off and get your fill of Mexican food from the complimentary food trucks: Taco Fest, Burger Fest and Sausage Fest.
Education: IWCE’s five-day conference program offers 100+ sessions, training and workshops. New this year are IWCE’s 45-minute power sessions, which can be added individually to your badge for $99 each or are included in both the Premium Package and the Super Pass. Additional education is available through ETA’s training classes, IWCE’s Network Infrastructure Program and the Dynamic Spectrum Sharing Summit.
Special Events: Wednesday’s Opening Keynote Address, “Cybersecurity is a Global Issue,” will be presented by NATO Cybersecurity Advisor Curtis Levinson. The Afternoon Keynote Address, presented by FirstNet CEO Michael Poth, will provide an update on the state of FirstNet and the nationwide public-safety broadband network. Town Hall Meetings are free to attend on Wednesday and Thursday and will cover updates from some of our government and association partners. IWCE’s General Session, “Operating Parallel Networks – Managing LMR and LTE Simultaneously” will begin at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. All of these sessions will be conducted in the Keynote Area on the show floor.
IWCE’s Urgent Communications Booth: Located at the front of the exhibit hall in the registration area. Take a few minutes to stop by, say “hello” and learn about the official content partner of IWCE. You can also follow the latest news and pictures covering the show by subscribing to the Live from IWCE newsletter.
