JPS Interoperability Solutions names Arthur Powers as vice president and general counsel
RALEIGH, N.C., July 7, 2016 – JPS Interoperability Solutions has appointed Arthur Powers as vice president and general counsel. Prior to joining JPS, Powers served as vice president for JPS Communications, general counsel for Raytheon Company in Brazil, as director of Brazil based programs for Catholic Relief Services and USAID and as an international lawyer with Baker & McKenzie.
In his new position, Powers will direct JPS Interoperability Solutions corporate development. His responsibilities will include technology acquisition, contract negotiation, and corporate partnerships.
“Arthur’s experience with diverse, global organizations is an ideal fit for our organization as we position ourselves for growth in domestic and international markets. In addition to his legal expertise, Arthur’s leadership and management skills will support the overall direction of the company,” said Don Scott, president of JPS Interoperability Solutions.
Powers received his law degree from Harvard Law School and he holds a Ph.D in Natural Resources Policy from the University of New Hampshire. He earned his undergraduate degree from Shimer College.
