At least that’s the word from Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission Chairman Nuraizah Abdul Hamid.
Hamid added that the introduction of 3G services will proceed as planned the outbreak of hostilities in the Middle East.
Telekom’s pilot coverage for 3G is set for July, with the service available commercially sometime next year.
Telekom’s 3G network is expected to cover rougly 80 percent of the Malaysian population by 2010 with UMTS to follow suit four years later, Hamid explained.
