TeleCommunication Systems completes NG- 911 interoperability tests
TeleCommunication Systems successfully completed next-generation 911 interoperability tests with its legacy network gateway (LNG), emergency services routing proxy (ESRP), emergency call routing function (ECRF), and location information server (LIS). These tests were conducted at the second National Emergency Number Association (NENA) Industry Collaboration Event.
TCS’ NG-911 solution complies with the NENA i3 standard to accept incoming emergency requests from both IP and PSTN based end users and to deliver the voice calls, text, files, video and data to the correct public-safety answering point (PSAP). The solution also bridges the gap between NENA’s i3 standard and current E9-1-1 systems, for example, by allowing continued use of a tabular MSAG and the traditional ALI database queries. TCS expands 911 features with call overflow options and by delivering new communications technologies to both IP and PSTN-based PSAP equipment.
