Phone link extends lines to remote area The i-WLL from Carlson Wireless Technologies is an Internet-ready, all-digital remote telephone link. It runs two POTS lines as far as 16km, line-of-sight, eliminating the expense of digging cable. These lines can be used in any combination of voice and data. A single user can use both lines, or the system can deliver a single line to each of two nearby buildings. Using the 2.4GHz frequency band, the link is license-free worldwide. Fully digital operation not only enables data transmission speed, it also eliminates the need for tuning. The fully encrypted, spread-spectrum CDMA modulation scheme ensures complete privacy for the user. Each independent telephone line uses a full bandwidth, 64kbps PCM digital channel and is compatible with G3 fax and 56K dialup modems. WWW.CARLSONWIRELESS.COM OR 707-923-3000

Logging system can record 64 channels PYXIS is a series of digital logging, recording and retrieval systems designed for emergency call-centers from Plant Equipment. The systems’ applications interface with radio and PEI’s 9-1-1 telephone communications in an emergency call-center. The digital logging system can record from eight to 64 channels per unit. Data can be archived from a variety of media, including MO, DVD and DAT. The remote feature allows password-authorized users to retrieve, review, duplicate and distribute recorded calls.
