The E. F. Johnson company has received a $1.2 million order for Project 25 digital radio products from an agency of the federal government that the company did not specify.
The agency ordered 100W mobile radio with hand-held controllers from Johnson, a subsidiary of Lincoln, NE-based Transcrypt International. Transcrypt’s chairman, Michael E. Jalbert, said that the company previously supplied such radios to the federal government and expects additional orders.
David L. Hattey, Johnson’s president, said that the company’s market share of federal government sales has increased thanks to the P-25 product line.
