AMTA sets course on education through Lockard & White
Future meetings and seminars conducted by the Washington-based American Mobile Telecommunications Association will feature professional educational programs jointly developed by AMTA and Lockard & White, an engineering firm in Houston.
Together with L&W, AMTA will offer courses and custom projects for telecommunications companies. In conjunction with Texas A&M University, L&W already operates the Lockard & White Learning Center that offers continuing education.
Through AMTA’s membership of wireless communications businesses, L&W expects to offer “educational opportunities for professional and personal growth,” said Marc Lockard, L&W’s president.
AMTA’s president, Alan Shark, said that the association is eager to launch education and training activities at the group’s fall trade show, AMTEX 2002, set for Oct. 7–9 at the Westin Fort Lauderdale (Fla.).
