Griffin to speak at APCO convention
Frederick G. Griffin, P.E., president of Frederick G. Griffin, P.C., Lynchburg, Va., will make a presentation at the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials national convention Aug. 12 in Nashville, Tenn., together with Tom Zellman, a representative of Morris County, N.J.
The topic of the presentation is a new procurement procedure, based on a case study of the county’s procurement of an 800 MHz trunked radio system. The county is replacing a 40-year-old radio communications system and is refurbishing its communications center. When the radio system is completed, the county will offer the use of the system to municipalities.
In September, Griffin is scheduled to serve as moderator for a public safety communications panel session at the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors annual conference set for Sept. 18–21 at the Chicago Hilton Hotel.
Frederick G. Griffin, P.C., is a consulting firm that provides services to local, state and federal governments in the areas of radio, 9-1-1, CAD, LAN and other systems.
