RADIO COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES ENGINEER City of Eugene, Oregon $47,840-$59,612 annually Oversees, directs, and supervises the Radio Communication Services activities in the Public Works Maintenance Division, including the design, installation, maintenance, repair, overhaul, deployment, and modification of radio and microwave communication facilities, systems, and equipment, and the fleet parts warehouse; provides complex staff assistance to the Fleet and Radio Communications Manager and Maintenance Division Manager. Requires minimum of five years of increasingly responsible electronic engineering experience, including two years of administrative and supervisory responsibility. Experience providing complex project management in the Public Safety field is highly desirable. Additionally, the equivalent to a bachelor degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis upon electronic engineering or a related field is required. Possession of or ability to obtain within 12 months of appointment NARTE Engineer Class II certification (Class I certification is desirable) and general FCC radio/telephone operators license or equivalent.
