Comtech Telecommunications’ Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp., received orders totaling $1.1 million from the U.S. Army for its movement tracking system. The orders are for MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers, ruggedized control-station computers, installation kits, technical support services and miscellaneous system components. The MT-2012 features embedded radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, including Savi Technology’s ISO-compliant EchoPoint RFID reader, as well as global positioning system capabilities.
