Catalyst launches interoperability product
Catalyst Communications Technologies released the 4.7X version of its Dynamic Interoperability product that works with its Sprint Nextel product, IP|Connect. The product automatically populates a dispatch contact list, allowing the dispatcher to patch Sprint Nextel phones to land-mobile-radio talk groups. Dispatchers can make calls to any iDEN phone or two-way radio channel or talk group from a single graphical user interface, according to Catalyst.

UHF panel antenna offers temperature expansion joint
dbSpectra unveiled its UHF panel antennas that have a temperature expansion joint built into the radome, a weatherproof enclosure used to protect an antenna. The antennas offer 8 dBd or 10 dBi of gain with a 120-degree horizontal beam-width, according to the company.

Wireless system on a chip unveiled
Cupertino, Calif.—based Ralink Technology announced the RT2880 system on a chip, a network interface card solution for access-point designs, broadband platforms, Ethernet-to-Wi-Fi bridges and dual-band concurrent routers. It supports 802.11i security features and the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands, according to the company.

MtronPTI announces ceramic-filter line
Yankton, S.D.—based MtronPTI now offers a ceramic-filter product line that features products with frequencies ranging from 300 MHz to 6 GHz. The filters can be used for multiple applications, including point-to-point networks, point-to-multipoint networks, LANs and WLANS, according to the company.

Military product interoperates disparate systems
Platforms Wireless International unveiled the ROSETTA-911 Military System Model M-1, which supports VHF, UHF, 800 MHz radio and cellular interoperability facilities. The system supports four talk groups, eight radio ports, voice-over-IP communications and military radio interfaces. According to the company, it lets disparate radios; cellular and landline telephones; and VoIP units interconnect and communicate with each other. It comes equipped with VHF, UHF and 800 MHz land-mobile radios, matching portable radios, a cellular and land-line telephone port, VoIP communications and a tri-band interoperable antenna. www.plfm.net
P25 monitor launched
Raytheon JPS launched its Project 25 Off-Air Monitor that is capable of receiving and demodulating P25 RF signaling, decoding P25 messages and logging these messages for later viewing. It also offers what the company calls a binary view of the digital channel, which lets users validate whether a system is P25-compliant.www.jps.com
