GPS fleet management system unveiled
Networkcar launched the Networkfleet 3500 product line, a wireless vehicle-management system developed for fleet managers. The line features the Siemens TC63 module that transmits GPS location and engine diagnostics information directly from the vehicle. Fleet managers log on to a secure Web page to view and manage information, such as vehicle location, fuel consumption, mileage, speed, emissions and idle time. Customers using the product also receive instant e-mail notifications when a diagnostic trouble code is present in a vehicle or when a vehicle is due for its scheduled maintenance, according to the company.

Pyramid launches notch filter
Pyramid Communications unveiled the BRF-1602, a high-Q notch filter designed to reduce interference in the SVR-200VB vehicular repeater when used with a VHF mobile radio. The notch filter is tuned to the SVR-200 vehicular-repeater frequency and supports VHF in-band repeating as close as 2 MHz from the mobile-transmit and receive frequencies, according to the company.
