EADS Secure Networks North America announced the full system acceptance of its CORP25 digital, trunked land mobile radio system by Cumberland County, Tenn., to replace the county’s conventional analog radio system. The CORP25 provides an open standards-compliant digital, trunked radio system with interoperability to existing conventional VHF radio networks and dispatch systems. It is an IP-based, digital trunked solution that lets P25 and non-P25 radios operate together on one core architecture. The new network enables coordinated communications amongst its users, including the sheriff’s department, two fire departments, the rescue squad, local correctional facility, EMS and emergency management, according to the company.
