Participate in cybersecurity survey
As Urgent Communications reported following last year’s APCO conference in Philadelphia, there is a growing need for the government and public-safety community to protect today’s radio, 911, and dispatch communications networks from cyber attacks.
Kevin McGeary and Jeremy Smith — senior consultants at L.R. Kimball, who addressed the concerns and potential for cyber attacks on public-safety networks at the conference — are working with Urgent Communications to survey public-safety radio system operators and users about cybersecurity.
This survey is designed to provide insights to share with all readers about the market’s awareness of the need for protecting these systems, an understanding of their vulnerabilities, and plans for allocating efforts or budget to cyber protection.
We’ll share the results of the survey with our readers in future articles and at the panel discussion on cybersecurity at this year’s IWCE. Please take a few minutes of your time to take the survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/CyberSecurityForRadioSurvey
