Pepro introduces 100-foot articulated lattice tower
As with other Pepro platform towers, the 100-foot lattice tower does not require a permanent cement foundation, so the solution allows towers to be located in environmentally sensitive areas where a traditional tower site would be prohibited, Lander said.
“It helps them get around a lot of the permitting issues, because it does create very little disturbance,” she said.
Pepro’s new lattice tower is expected to be appealing to government entities and enterprises that need to enhance wireless coverage in remote areas, Lander said. The solution also provides potential versatility to customers, she said.
“Because of the size, I see [the 100-foot lattice towers] being utilized more on a permanent basis,” Lander said. “But, if there were a need to move it, that wouldn’t be difficult at all—it can be torn down in about the same amount of time it takes to set it up.”
Pepro’s 100-foot lattice tower has a footprint of 30 x 34 feet, weighs 22,390 lbs. and complies with the TIA-222-G standard. It comes with 12 leveling jacks and 24 Ufer ground pads, according to a company press release. It is intended for use with Pepro’s stationary enclosures measuring 8×8 feet to 8×16 feet.
Lander said the cost of the tower, an 8×16-foot Pepro shelter and appropriate grounding is $175,000, which can save customers 30% to 40% when compared to a “traditional brick-and-mortar foundation site, depending on the configuration.” The package is available now, with a typical lead time of 12-14 weeks, she said.
